Due to its morphological complexity and important functions human hand is a sensitive indicator of ontogenetic and growth factors. As an easily accessible component of body reflecting numerous internal properties, it might be useful for determining andev aluating organism's conditions. Recently, a survey engaging relationships between digital formula (2D:4D ratio) and sex, sexual preferences and cardiovascular diseases have been studied. However, an evaluation of hand morphology has been performedmainly by traditional metric methods not giving an attention to shape in satisfactory extension. As a result the entire shape has been missed. The goal of this project is to develop a new approach for evaluating 2D hand records based on geometricmorphometrical procedures (Procrustes superimposition, Thin Plate Splines, Relative warps). Consequently, developed method will be applied to recent Czech population in order to study sexual dimorphism of hand shape in relation to urinary levels of sex
