16 Sep 2022 The Rector's Award for Outstanding Teachers was awarded to Jan Šmarda On Thursday, the Rector of Masaryk University (MU) Martin Bareš opened the new academic year 2022/2023 at the Augustinian Abbey in Brno. During the ceremony, he presented the Rector's Awards to outstanding teachers. The Masaryk University Rector's Award for outstanding teachers in the field of natural sciences and medicine was awarded to Jan Šmarda, Head of the Department of Experimental Biology. Congratulations!
TIP 14 Sep 2022 Garden festival at Kotlářská enjoyed by students and employees On Monday, 12 September 2022, an event called "Garden Party on Kotlářská Campus" took place, which officially opened the new academic year at the Faculty of Science of MU (SCI MUNI). More than 350 visitors from among students, staff and other guests arrived in the park in front of the Dean's Office of SCI MUNI on the Kotlářská campus and used this sunny September day to meet together.
24 Aug 2022 Brno PhD talent 2022 The Brno City Council and the South Moravian Centre for International Mobility have prepared a competition for students in first-year of PhD studies, offering long-term financial and career support for 25 talented PhD students in the form of a scholarship of up to CZK 110,000 per year for three years.

29 Jun 2022 Dominik Madea was awarded the scientific prize of the French Embassy Dominik Madea, a student of the PhD programme in Chemistry at the Faculty of Science of MU, scored in the competition of young scientists for prizes awarded by the Embassy of France in the Czech Republic, when he took third place in the Chemistry category and won the Jean-Marie Lehn Prize 2022. Congratulations!
