Our graduates
“I went to the Faculty of Science because it was prestigious for me. And what I had imagined from my studies had also come true. I gained a lot of knowledge and contacts, participated in research and organized various events. Moreover, the whole study was carried out in a very pleasant atmosphere - teachers had a personal approach and really tried to help us.”
Tomáš Havelka, a graduate in Mathematical analysis
“Already during my bachelor's studies I had the opportunity to participate in laboratory research, which I consider as a great thing now. Not only did I gain a lot of work experience and knowledge, but I also learned to communicate with people and present my results in an understandable way.”

Technology Transfer Office
The dissemination of knowledge acquired through research is one of main functions of the research faculty. In recent years advanced economies have placed great emphasis on the transfer of new technologies and knowledge to the industrial sector.
Our faculty is an important link in the chain “education -> science, research and development -> investment -> transfer to industry -> product”.
The Faculty of Science is one of the key MU faculties, which benefit from the establishment of the Technology Transfer Office of Masaryk University (TTO).
Since 2015, TTO assisted Faculty of Science in filing 40 national and 22 international patent applications and 33 utility model applications. The Faculty of Science was granted 26 national and 16 international patents and 29 utility models.
We popularize science and bring it to the public
The faculty has a long established reputation for delivering excellent outreach activities for primary and high school students and teachers and also for public. We offer a wide variety of science and maths events for pupils and teachers, such as long-term corresponding seminars, one-day competitions, weekends and days for participants of the study and to the public.
