Modernity

To date, the Faculty of Science is credited with several scientific achievements of international significance. Specific areas of research focusing on the harmonic development of the individual natural sciences, comprise priority objectives. A substantial part of the faculty’s research activity is also devoted to non-specific research, closely linked to instruction in doctoral degree programmes.

In 2017, the Faculty signed up to the principles of the European Researchers' Charter and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers, with the aim of obtaining the HR Award (HR Excellence in Research) awarded by the European Commission to research institutions implementing HRS4R's HR strategy Strategy for Researchers). With this step, the faculty has committed itself to working for friendly working conditions, professional development and transparent recruitment procedures.
