The subject of the project is the introduction of desired traits into cultured species Trifolium pratense and Lotus corniculatus by new methods. The goal of the project is elaboration of procedures for overcoming the post-fertilization barriers of crossability by means of interspecific hybridization and in vitro methods. New original breeding material with higher resistance to Fusarium, BYMV and higher persistence in clovers and lower pod shattering in birdsfoot trefoil will be obtained.
