The selected host-parasite system (Barbatula barbatula - metazoan paraxites) is suiteble to parallel examinations of qualitative and quantitative parameters using standard ichthyological and parasitological methods. The parameter change dynamics in fish populations (host) will be compared with diversity values in parasites' communities at the level of infra- and component communities. The original results obtained will enable to the test the hitherto hypothesis on the factors-determinants, and to explain the parasites' richness in freshwater fishes native in Central Europe based on the model host-parasite systems, and to submit general verified conclussions.
